SPLASH Sanitation Research Programme kick off coordination workshop – July 2011
We were pleased to host our initial coordination workshop from 17-19 July in Kigali, Rwanda, including an informative urban sanitation field trip, kindly hosted by Valentin Mucyomwiza of Rwanda Environment Care. Our event took place alongside the Africa San conference which enabled additional participants from each consortium and donor agencies to attend.

SPLASH Good Practice Workshop – Sharing our Learning and Planning our Future, Brussels, October 2010
In coordination with the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during its presidency of the EU, SPLASH hosted a workshop in Brussels from 27-29 October. The overall objective of the workshop was to increase the contribution made by water for development research to achievement of the water related international development goals.

Regional Workshop for Coordination of Research on Hydropower Development in the Lower Mekong Basin
The workshop was held at the Mekong River Commission Secretariat, Vientiane, Lao PDR, on 14-15 September 2010. It was funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, under the umbrella of SPLASH.

SPLASH research coordination workshop in Ethiopia
A one day workshop was hosted by SPLASH on 20th May 2009, to support coordination between 7 ongoing research programmes which are active in Ethiopia, which were:
Programmes were presented in the morning, with group work in the afternoon
to determine a time bound plan of actions to improve in country coordination between the programmes.

SPLASH at World Water Week 2007
Stockholm World Water Week is one of the largest events in the water and sanitation sector, attended by more than 1500 professionals from a huge range of European and Developing Countries. What better venue than this to raise awareness about the SPLASH project which is working towards improving coordination of European-funded research on water for development?
Partners from the six SPLASH work packages were present at World Water Week, providing opportunities to meet face-to-face to discuss progress and to get to know each other better, which is key to success in such a collaborative venture.
