Towards better water policies: how can increasing the uptake of research findings help?
The results of the SPLASH e-conference which took place in March this year are now available. The summary report is provided in both English and French:
The report outlines the conference aims, the level and nature of participation, and summarises the main findings from each week's discussion. It concludes that the e-conference generated some important 'leads' to explore in the subsequent in-country consultations. While there are some examples of successful application of research findings into policy development and the links between the identification, planning and implementation of research for policy development, there is still a sense that much more needs to be known about how this might work and what is required to do this effectively.
